Mad keys is a multi-instrumental, alternative hip-hop music producer from st. louis, mo. keys began his musical journey early, learning to play classical violin at age 9 and becoming self-taught on piano at 15. he developed an admiration for hip-hop & jazz, and pulled inspiration from the likes of j. dilla & amahd jamal as he learned music production. keys' soul-filled sound is paired with unquantized rhythms and lush, melodic instrumentation which can be heard in his music, including his latest release "a work in progress."
